How to Organize your Kitchen Right Now

If your kitchen’s countertop is small, you’re probably complaining that there isn’t too much space to accommodate everything. If it’s spacious, you’re lamenting that everyone seems to litter it with all manner of cutlery. But, organizing your countertop isn’t that hard. Here’s how to do it.

Keep it Clear!

Isn’t this the surest way to keep your countertop organized? Just remove everything that’s not supposed to be on it and you’re good to go! Get rid of all the unnecessary items such as paper towels. Hang them on your holder to free some space. Throw things such as sponges in the sink. Water pitchers should be in the fridge. Of course, remember to keep your fridges doors closed – it makes your kitchen look less cluttered.

Buy a Junk Bowl

If you have a habit of placing scrap paper on your kitchen’s countertop, it’s time to invest in a junk bowl. The beauty of it is that you can carry the bowl from one end of your kitchen to the other. That way, you can collect random items and place them on their rightful place when you have enough time, such as during the weekends. And it doesn’t necessarily have to be a bowl. You can also get a knitting bag or a mail holder as long as it is helping you put the clutter away.

Use Jars

Everyone is talking about mason jars right now and there’s a good reason why this is the case. Some of the benefits that these jars bring to the fore include allowing you to store things such as candy, sugar or virtually anything else that won’t fit into your bowls.

Embrace Vertical Storage and Knife Boards

You don’t have to fill your drawer with spatulas and strainers. Not only will they occupy valuable space but also put you through an unnecessary struggle of arranging them. Instead, opt to place them vertically on your countertop. That way, there’s visible and easily accessible.

Also, buy a knife board or two to safely store your knives. Make sure that the board can accommodate all your knives. While you’re at it visit to have a glance at  some of the most sought-after kitchen knives on the market today. Even as you seek to keep your kitchen organized, it is essential that you get the right cutlery too. And to wrap it up, consider dividing your countertop so that you can know what goes where.
